Bead: Black tungsten 1/8 inch
Rib: Fine copper
Body: Hares ear or synthetic substitue
Tail: Red wool

  Step 1: Thread bead on to hook      

Step 2: Tie in red wool to bend of the hook. Cut wool back to about 3-4 mm in length

        Step 3: Tie in copper wire down to the end of the fly  
                           
   
 
 
Step 4: Dub hares ear or substitute (taper towards the tail)       Step 5: Rib with copper wire in even turns up to the head.     step 6: Whip finish and varnish
