It
is not essential to learn how to tie flies but it does allow you a freedom
to invent and tie patterns that you other wise would not be able to buy
from a shop. It will save you money in the long run and like fly fishing
it’s self is relatively inexpensive to start. There are a few things
that are worth spending that little bit extra money on such as scissors
and your vice. You don’t need masses of materials to get started
you can begin with just a few well selected materials and then add to
it little by little until before you know it you have a suit case full
of furs, feathers and threads. Here are some of the essential parts of
every fly tiers armoury. |
